Named ''birth wishes'' rather than plan, since a birth is not an event that can be planned as a script, but rather one that we prepare for, in love, trust and letting go.
My goal with this birth plan is to offer women a simple and practical plan, and to offer many ways to think about their childbirth.
I want to help them protect their bubble, give them an overview of the choices that may be available to them, and allow them to feel safe enough to let go and dive confidently into the vortex of childbirth.
I encourage you to read up on the topics offered on this plan, so that you can see both sides of the coin, and make informed choices.
I discuss the atmosphere in the room, methods of managing contractions, possible medical interventions, pushing, the post-delivery stay, baby care, wishes in the event of an epidural or cesarean section, etc.
I have also included spaces to add items to each section, as well as two blank "relevant information" sections, where you can put what is important to you that the staff knows about your delivery. (Fear of needles, trauma from certain procedures, additional medical information, etc.)
The term "partner" is used, so that the plan is fluid and customizable for both gay and straight couples.
I hope to help you, through this plan, to protect your rights and your bubble during your childbirth
I hope this plan will be a helpful and reassuring asset to you ♡
