Cocyntal relieves baby colic: abdominal pain, cramps, spasms and intestinal gas. Developed specifically for babies ages 1 to 6 months, Cocyntal’s sterile water–based formulation contains no sugar, no colouring and no preservatives. It is an effective solution for soothing colicky infants – and their parents!

Available in 30 liquid unit-doses.

Directions

Administer one drinkable unit-dose. If symptoms persist, repeat at 15-minute intervals for up to 2 additional doses. Generally symptoms resolve within 1 to 3 doses. To administer a unit-dose, twist cap to open and squeeze entire contents into mouth. Repeat dosing regimen as required with subsequent episodes of symptoms. Maximum 12 doses per day.

Symptoms

Etiology:
Colic is paroxysms of crying and irritability in an infant. Although the term “colic” suggests an intestinal origin, etiology is unknown.

Manifestations:

Colic may begin soon after bringing the baby home, but it more often begins a few weeks after birth and spontaneously improves between 3 and 4 months of age. Paroxysms of crying and unhappiness develop at roughly the same time of day or night and continue for hours for no apparent reason. A few infants cry almost incessantly. Excessive crying may cause aerophagia, which results in flatulence and abdominal distention.

Cocyntal is available in 30 liquid unit-doses (1 mL per dose).
