The Essentials collection is inspired by the fundamental values of the soap factory. To be polite, pleasant, diligent, to perform our tasks with speed, but above all with care. That's diligence for us.

This soap is an all-in-one created for the globetrotters of this world! Indeed, it can be used everywhere, i.e. for body, face and hair cleansing, but also for cleaning and hand washing. That's why the soap is completely white!

The essential oils of balsam fir, lemon eucalyptus and tea tree have been carefully chosen to keep mosquitoes and other small bugs away. It will be your best companion on your adventures around the world!

This soap can be used as a shampoo, but is not specifically designed as a shampoo or for any particular hair type. It is used in the same way as other bar shampoos, but does not protect hair color like some of our shampoos.

How do I use it as a household soap? Simply rub it on a sponge or washcloth and then scrub off the dirt and rinse. It is also possible to rub it in a basin of water to make it soapy and then wash the dishes or clothes in this soapy water.

Our soaps contain ingredients that are all natural and biodegradable. If you have to choose between using one of our soaps or a commercial one to wash in a lake or a river, ours is a much better choice. However, it is important to understand that any substance that is foreign to an ecosystem, even from a natural and/or food source, can affect the fauna and/or flora.

A little more about the Savonnerie des Diligences:

Although there is no certification for the term "natural", we are able to tell you that our soaps are made here in our Austin workshop with olive oil, organic coconut oil and beeswax (Ferme Intermiel, Mirabel). They contain no synthetic fragrances (only essential oils or natural ingredients such as honey, cocoa, oatmeal), no additives, stabilizers or preservatives. They are of vegetable origin, biodegradable, and you can use them for body, face and hair.

Tips for use

To prolong the life of your soap, it is important to dry it on something that allows air circulation: the soap should be able to dry underneath, ideally on a soap dish.
