Product description

An ergonomic sling that resembles the versatility and comfort of a woven sling, with a unique, user-friendly design.

Description

Designed by an occupational therapist, the Multi-2.0 baby sling is an innovative system that allows you to carry your baby in a position that is conducive to hip and spine development. In addition to allowing the baby to sit on the stomach, hip and back in a physiological position, it also allows the baby to sit facing outwards. It is the only baby carrier of its kind that provides perfect support under the thigh in this position. The Multi 2.0 is made of technological materials, extremely silky and resistant.

Directions for Use

Belly to belly:

0-6 months

Belly-to-belly carrying, where the baby is carried in a squatting position, is the most suitable carrying position for a newborn until at least 4 months. The back should be nicely rounded like in mom's belly, the knees well up and the feet down. You can practice the skin-to-skin technique with a baby of 8 lbs and more, easily and safely. This position provides the comfort needed to develop a sense of emotional security. The squatting position is known for its benefits for the development of the baby's bones and joints. Before 6 months, the newborn seat should be used to support the baby at a good height.  You can open the panel to extend the legs.

6 months and older

By the time your baby is 6 months old and sitting upright, his spine is strong enough that he no longer needs continuous support for his back. He no longer needs to be in the stretchy seat and can even stick his arms out over the shoulder straps, if he is tall enough.

On the hip:

From 4 months of age

As soon as the baby has a good head hold, you can start carrying him on your hip.  This is an intermediate position that gives the parent a little more freedom of movement than the stomach position. Remember that without a baby carrier, we naturally carry the baby with one arm on our hip.

From 6 months of age

As soon as the baby is in a sitting position. You can also take his arms out over the shoulder straps.

On the back:

From 6 months of age

As soon as you feel comfortable, you can carry the baby on your back. However, we recommend that you wait until your baby is 6 months old or until he or she is in a sitting position to avoid the risk of injury or suffocation. Since the weight is well distributed on the back, shoulders and hips, carrying on the back is more comfortable, especially when the child gains weight. It is a practical position to regain greater independence of movement and can be used for as long as you need it. This allows the wearer to use both arms with more freedom and perform activities requiring more strength and skill without risking injury to the child.

Facing the world:

From 4 months of age

This carry requires your baby to hold his head on his own. However, this position is not optimal, as it is less ergonomic than a belly-to-belly carry and causes a lot of stimulation for the baby. If you choose this position, make sure to limit the time to a maximum of 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the blood flow in the baby's legs. Observe the color of the skin, which should be pink and not bluish. A cold foot is also a sign of poor circulation. Also make sure that the back is not too flat or rounded with a bad reverse lumbar curve. Finally, don't let the legs hang too low. Tilt the pelvis forward as much as possible to bring the knees up as much as possible and deepen the sitting position. There are 2 ways to perform the face-up position: with the legs folded in or out on each side.

Care Instructions

It is very important to wash the baby carrier before the first use. The fabric and the different components are handled and transported in several places and the straps are more slippery before washing. We recommend machine washing on the gentle cycle in a garment bag or hand washing in warm water (no rinse soap preferred). Avoid washing the carrier in a washer where the straps could get tangled around a blender or mixer. Hang to dry and do not iron. You can use the straps protectors to avoid having to wash your baby carrier every day.
