You probably know that you need to consume a certain daily dose of vitamin D! There's more clinical evidence than ever to support its health benefits: since 2019, over 130 published studies have shown that adequate vitamin D stores can support a person's ability to stay healthy.

While a dose of 800 IU per day is generally sufficient to maintain adequate serum vitamin D levels, our long winters, short summers and reduced exposure to sunlight in Canada can lead us to need more. Different populations also need more: older people produce a quarter of the amount of vitamin D they did in their twenties, darker-skinned people produce on average half the amount as lighter-skinned people, and people with certain chronic diseases may have more difficulty absorbing vitamin D

Ingredients

Each drop (0.025 ml) contains Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol): 2,500 IU / 62.5 mcg

Non-medicinal ingredients: Medium-chain triglycerides, sunflower oil, rosemary extract (Rosmarinus officinalis).

Directions for use

Adults (18 years and over) - Take 1 drop a day. For use over 6 months.

Precautions and warnings

An intake of 600 to 800 IU (15 to 20 mcg) of vitamin D per day is sufficient for most people. Consult a health care practitioner to determine if you need additional vitamin D before taking this product. Do not use this product if you have hypercalcemia and/or hypercalciuria. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have kidney problems, or if you are taking other vitamin D supplements, multiple vitamin supplements containing vitamin D, products containing vitamin D analogues, or any prescription drugs, including antacids, anticonvulsants, digoxin, cholestyramine, colestipol, mineral oil, steroids, statins and thiazide diuretics.

Known adverse reactions: Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if early symptoms of hypercalcemia occur, including weakness, fatigue, drowsiness, headache, lack of appetite, dry mouth, metallic taste, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, ringing in the ears, lack of coordination and muscle weakness, or if you experience any other side effects.
