Unique fiber blend(laxative) that improves intestinal transit and relieves occasional constipation.

Description:

BIOFLO 1 contains herbs that are used in herbal medicine as a bulk laxative to gently relieve constipation and/or irregularity.

Ingredients:

Psyllium (husk), Licorice (root), Slippery Elm (hull), Hypromellose (vegecap), Hibiscus sabdariffa flower, Pyrus malus fiber (apple). Whenever possible, we prefer organically grown or wild picked ingredients.

Dosage:

Powder (14 years and older): Take 1 teaspoon (3.5g) in a glass of water or juice (250ml), one to 3 times daily.
Capsules (14 years and older): Take 3 capsules 2 times a day (morning and evening). Drink one glass of water (8 ounces or 250ml) with each dose. Drink enough fluids.
Effects observed within 12 to 24 hours after the first dose and sometimes after 2 to 3 days. Wait 2 hours before and after taking other medications.
Consult a health care practitioner if use continues beyond 4 to 6 weeks.

Precautions:

Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms worsen or if constipation persists after 7 days of use. Consult a health care practitioner immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty swallowing or breathing after taking this product. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are taking medications that inhibit peristalsis (e.g. opiates, loperamide) or if you have liver problems. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you experience symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever (these symptoms may be signs of abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, esophageal disease, upper gastric outlet (cardia) disease, existing or potential intestinal obstruction, bowel paralysis, megacolon, fecal impaction, inflammation of the colon or appendicitis.

Contraindication:

Do not use if you have observed changes in bowel habits for more than 2 weeks, if you have undiagnosed rectal bleeding, or if taking another laxative had not resulted in a bowel movement, or if you have swallowing disorders or if you have diabetes mellitus characterized by blood glucose levels that are difficult to regulate, or if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, cardiovascular or kidney disease, or if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or any other medication that may aggravate electrolyte imbalances. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Hypersensitivity, such as allergy, may occur after ingestion of psyllium. In such cases, discontinue use. May cause flatulence.

Do not use if safety cap is broken or missing. Keep out of reach of children.
