BioGuard Purifying Cleanser combines the germ-killing benefits of 80% ethyl alcohol with Silver Shield colloidal silver and proven essential oils. This unique blend is effective in protecting the skin from the many strains of bacteria that the skin is exposed to on a daily basis.

Ethyl alcohol is considered by science and Health Canada to be an effective antiseptic agent against harmful bacteria. Ethyl alcohol concentrations of over 60% (the one in this product is 80%) are recognized as the most effective and safest for daily external use.

Another well-established antiseptic is colloidal silver, which is used in many commercial and medicinal products to prevent infection and the spread of many infectious agents.

Historically and traditionally, essential oils from plants have been used as domestic and industrial disinfectants and cleaners. Today, essential oils are popular for their medicinal properties.

Directions for Use

Directions for use (adults):

Adults (18+):

• Meticulously rub hands for at least 30 seconds.
• Let dry.
• For occasional domestic and personal use only.

Ingredients

Medicinal ingredients: 80% ethyl alcohol.

Non-medicinal ingredients: 5 ppm colloidal silver, glycerin (vegetable, organic), 100% pure essential oils of: Citrus sinensis(orange), Eugenia caryophyllat (clove), Eucalyptus globulus(eucalyptus), Thymusvulgaris(thyme), Cinnamomum zeylanicum (cinnamon), Citrusx paradise(grapefruit), Lavandula angustifolia(lavender), Citrus x limon(lemon), Mentha x piperita(peppermint), Pinus sylvestris(pine), and Rosmarinus o cinalis(rosemary).

Cautions

• For external use only.
• Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if irritation develops.
• Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• If swallowed, contact a physician immediately or call a poison control center. If you have epilepsy or asthma, consult a health care practitioner before use.
• Silver accumulation (resulting from excessive silver intake over a prolonged period of time) can lead to argyrism, a blue-black discoloration of the skin due to deposits of silver granules in connective tissue. This problem persists indefinitely or disappears very slowly. If you have broken, irritated or sensitive skin, do not use this product.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use this product.
• If you experience nausea, dizziness, headaches or an allergic reaction, discontinue use.
• Do not expose treated areas to sunlight for 24 to 48 hours after application.
• Flammability warning: keep away from flames and heat sources.
