Hot tip

Yes, this soap is biodegradable. But any soap, even if it's "biodegradable", should never, ever be used or emptied into a stream. So washing yourself and your dishes in the lake is a no-no with soap.

It's simple: adding soap to a watercourse means altering its composition and affecting its inhabitants. We're convinced that causing harm isn't one of your values.

• use a minimum quantity of soap
• use soap at a distance of 60 meters or more from any watercourse
• spread soap water in large jets in the vegetation around you.

Other sources also speak of emptying the water into a sanitary pit or a dug hole which you then fill with earth, obviously at a distance of 60+ metres from any watercourse. The soil will work its magic and biodegrade the soap.

Directions for use

Dishes and clothes: add the equivalent of one or two capfuls to a small basin of water.

Body: pour a small amount onto a wet washcloth or sponge. Rub to work into a lather.
