Description

Its properties have been enhanced by the action of the sun. It is traditionally used in masks and poultices. Absorbent, purifying and regenerating, it is particularly well-suited to the care of combination to oily skin. It absorbs and regulates excess sebum, eliminates impurities, revitalizes the skin and promotes cell renewal. It is also softening.

Clay is an earth derived from the metamorphosis of a rock, naturally rich in mineral salts. It is found in deposits of varying size, most of which are mined by open-pit methods. It is the first natural medicine known to man. Indeed, it has been recognized and used for its therapeutic virtues for centuries. A true living substance with a natural intelligence, clay is distinguished by its two main properties of absorption and adsorption, which enable it to exchange absorbed impurities and toxins for minerals.

Directions for use

As a beauty mask: Apply a thick layer of clay paste to the face and neck, avoiding the eye and lip contours. Leave on for around 10 minutes, without letting the mask dry on the skin. Rinse off with lukewarm water and dry skin with a cotton towel. Follow with a moisturizing cream adapted to your skin type.

As a cataplasm: Place the clay paste on a natural textile. Spread the clay with a non-metallic spatula to a thickness of 2 to 3 cm. Apply the poultice, leaving the clay in direct contact with the skin, and hold it in place (but not too tightly) with a bandage. If the poultice is to be applied to an irritated area, interpose a light gauze between the clay and the skin. Leave the poultice on for one hour. To remove, remove as much clay as possible, if necessary by moistening, then rinse the skin with lukewarm water and dry.
