100% pure and natural essential oil
Botanical name: Thuja occidentalis
Origin: Canada
Arbovitae, highly prized for its fragrance, is also known as Canadian white cedar or thuja.
Amerindians called it "the tree of life", because of its purifying virtues and its action on wounds.
This is a different family of Thuja from the Atlantic cypress.
According to Dr. Daniel Pénoël and Sylla Sheppard, Arbovitae essential oil is an excellent anti-rheumatic; astringent; anti-infectious; anti-allergenic; and helps the body repair cuts and wounds.
It is also known for its antifungal and antibacterial action. Its antifungal properties make it the ideal oil for treating mycoses, particularly those developing on toenails.
This oil was the main ingredient in the famous "Vick's".
It is a natural insect repellent. It is also soothing for patients with urticaria and psoriasis.
It's important to note that thuja oil is rich in thujone, a neurotoxic substance that should be used with caution.
It should therefore be used externally only; a few drops on a wound will promote rapid healing and prevent infection.
It can also be massaged, pure or diluted, for rheumatic and arthritic pain.
Best used for no more than two weeks at a time.
Use a maximum of 10 drops a day directly on the affected area, always diluted in a good organic 1st cold-pressed vegetable oil.
Keep out of reach of children, air, heat and light.
