Description:

Acute and chronic catarrh of the nose and maxillary sinuses, sinusitis, etc. Polyp formation in children. Loss of sense of smell and taste.

Mode of action

Arsenicum album: Chronic illnesses in general and depression. Acute sinusitis with symptoms improved by cold; chronic conditions accompanied by burning coughs improved by heat. Coryza worse on the right; water-clear secretions with nasal obstruction.

Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni: Constitutional remedy for swollen mucous membranes, pastoesem habitus, glandular swelling (e.g. in the form of children's scrofulosis). Chronic nasal obstruction.

Cinnabaris: maxillary sinus catarrh.

Kalium bichromicum: Promotes mucus emission (nose and sinuses). Pain especially at the root of the nose. For acute and chronic sinusitis. Thick, purulent, yellowish, sticky nasal discharge. Polyps.

Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni: Suppuration, suppurative inflammation of mucous membranes. Yellow-green discharge, irritating and corrosive. Worsens especially at night, in both hot and cold weather. Nocturnal sweating.

Pulsatilla: Hay fever, coryza, sneezing; chronic nasal congestion. Symptoms worsen in a warm room, improve in fresh air.

Sepia: Constitutional remedy, chronic mucosal irritation, chronic catarrh and yellowish sputum.

Sulfur: Constitutional remedy (antipsoric). Sinusitis with chronic, purulent nasal discharge. Hay fever, polyps, great sensitivity to odors.

Clinical experience

• For acute use, R96Pulsatilla Compositum nasal spray is also recommended.
• If polyps form, consider R17.
• In acute cases, administer as needed.
• In chronic cases, take 5-10 drops 3-4 times a day.
• In chronic cases, allow 1 month's treatment for each year of illness.

Dosage:

Drops

Adults and children (12 years and over) 5-10 drops 1-3 times daily, acute cases 4-6 times daily in a little water or undiluted or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.
